Cooperation based on complementary disciplines

The agreement between Excelia and EPF reflects the intention of both schools to engage in close cooperation. It is based on their complementary disciplinary backgrounds, and is expressed through a number of initiatives: the development of joint programs and courses, the pooling of teaching and teaching staff, and joint projects in research, entrepreneurship and student life on the Paris-Cachan university campus.

For Excelia Business School, this cooperation responds to a strategic objective of diversification and territorial expansion of its programs. The school aims to rely on a collaborative approach to deploy an attractive offering of high-level and internationally oriented higher education programs at its Paris location.

For EPF, this partnership is part of a blended innovation and skills approach, combining the teaching resources and pedagogical expertise of the two schools.

A joint MSc in Engineering Business Management for EPF and Excelia Business School will be launched in the 2024-2025 academic year

Created almost 20 years ago, Excelia Business School's MSc in Engineering Business Management is one of the first courses in France to combine managerial and engineering skills. Currently taught by Excelia Business School in Orléans, the program has been redesigned to meet the growing need for managers in all sectors of industry, which are engaged in a dynamic process of transformation and regaining competitiveness (Plan France 2030).

The program is open to students in the first year of Excelia's Master Grande École and to students who have validated 240 ECTS, admitted via an entrance exam. EPF is already an academic partner as it provides technical courses in data management and analysis, agile project management and industrial management control. Starting in 2024, this program will evolve into a joint degree for both institutions. It will then be open to EPF's fourth-year students.

The MSc in Engineering Business Management can be completed in a traditional way or via a work-study program.

A double degree Bachelor EPF and Excelia Business School

Excelia Business School and EPF will also collaborate on their respective Bachelor programs: EPF's Bachelor in Information Systems Engineering and Marketing and Excelia Business School's Bachelor in Business. The partnership focuses on the following:

  • Since September, Excelia Business School has been providing a third of the social sciences and management science classes of EPF's Bachelor which take place on its Paris-Cachan campus.
  • Starting from the next academic year, third-year students will have the opportunity to obtain a double degree in EPF's Bachelor in Information Systems Engineering and Marketing and Excelia Business School's Bachelor in Business. 3 spots are reserved for Excelia Business School's Bachelor in Business students within EPF's Bachelor program on the Paris-Cachan site, and vice versa for EPF students who will join the double BB program on the Cachan and Orléans sites. The latter program requires students to validate additional modules (17 ECTS). Students can access this program via an entrance exam in the third year of the Bachelor.

Achievements that fit into the dynamic development of the Paris-Cachan campus

The cooperation between Excelia and EPF is nourished by their common geographical roots. The partnership between the two schools is part of the "Alliance for Science and Technology Paris-Cachan" formed by ESTP, EPF, ESITC Paris, Aivancity, and Excelia, which became a member last July. This alliance aims to pool the resources and means of the schools on the site to promote and develop the Paris-Cachan university campus through a proactive policy of cooperation. This translates into numerous coordinated activities: the development of common academic programs, cooperation in research and entrepreneurship, importance of the student experience, and more generally the implementation of a site policy: the development of a regional and international strategy, meetings and sharing of experiences and student life, associations and sports.

The collaborative approach of the two schools is part of the site's dynamic. It also aims to address the complexity of issues faced by businesses by offering hybrid paths, joint or dual-degree programs.
